Aromatic Chemistry
Learning is focussed on fun, creative ways of understanding this amazing and useful (yes, 'useful'!!) aspect of Aromatherapy. You will learn to appreciate which chemicals are more effective when targetting different complaints. For example, blending oils that are high in monoterpenes with oils high in oxides creates a more synergistic blend when dealing with respiratory ailments.
By the end of the day, you will understand how to create a blend which makes best use of the chemical interaction between each oil and the human body - in fact you will begin to wonder how you ever managed to blend without an understanding of aromatic chemistry. Not only that, but you will also have the satisfaction of knowing that essential oil chemistry is no longer the mystery it once was!
